Why won’t my credit / debit card payment go through?

Updated over a year ago

On very rare occasions, a customer’s payment may be declined by our bank. The reason for this is usually one of the following:

- The card details you entered are incorrect
- There are insufficient funds in your account
- There is a temporary problem with the connection between your bank and ours

If your payment fails, we suggest that you try again. Please make sure that you enter your card details correctly. If the issue is not resolved, contact your bank right away and they should be able to give you more information on why your payment was declined. If you think that our bank is responsible for the problem, please send us an email and we will contact them and try to resolve the issue.

In some cases, you may be asked to enter a 3D Secure Code. 3D Secure is a security protocol used by most banks worldwide. It is an additional security layer that we have added in order to protect you from unauthorized transactions. If you encounter a problem with your payment when asked to enter the 3D Secure Code, you should request a code from your bank. If you are still having trouble with your payment, please do not hesitate to contact us directly and we will be happy to help!

If your card has been issued by a US or Canadian bank (e.g. Capital One), you may need to contact the bank and request that they authorize international transactions (including transactions to Greece).
